Dear participants of the Berlin Art Award,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust and patience. Your numerous applications - over 3,000 artists from all over the world - have overwhelmed us and show us how great the interest in our art prize is. Thanks to you, we can discover many impressive talents that deserve more attention in the future.

Due to the high number of applications, the review of all submitted works of art and the associated artist statements is more extensive than we originally expected. We want to do justice to all participants and take the necessary time for each work. Therefore, the determination of the winners has unfortunately been delayed.

New schedule: The announcement of the winners is scheduled for April 2025.

Festive exhibition: Following this, we are planning an exhibition with the award-winning works in Berlin in May 2025.

Of course, you will receive all information about the award ceremony, the winners' exhibition and all future events in good time. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately, unexpected difficulties have arisen in recent weeks that have influenced the course of the art award. Two disqualified artists tried to sabotage the art prize by spreading false information. These artists specifically wrote to art galleries and institutions in Berlin and called for a boycott.

As a result, we faced legal disputes because a Berlin art academy wanted to prohibit us from using the name "Berlin Art Award". Elite art circles therefore want to claim patronage over Berlin art prizes, in which only academics can participate!

In order to avoid further legal disputes, we have decided to change the name "Berlin Art Award" to

"Berlin Award For Visual Arts". In order to protect our jury and the new venue, we have decided to withhold further details until the winners are announced. We sincerely ask for your understanding for this precautionary measure.

Our team is currently busy sending invitations to entrepreneurs and personalities from the art market. We are paying particular attention to a purchasing-power audience so that the eventual winners of the art prize can also benefit directly from potential buyers and collectors.

The planning of the winners' vernissage is very extensive. In addition to a red carpet and high-profile invitations, high five-figure costs can be incurred. Although we are in contact with potential sponsors, the art prize has so far been self-financed. This also means a financial risk for the founder of the art prize, who bears all costs alone. We hope that this great commitment will be appreciated - because financial enrichment through the art award is not the goal; Rather, we invest considerable resources to offer you a professional, high-quality platform and to establish the art prize as a brand in the long term.

Despite all the challenges, we would like to assure you that the Berlin Award Of Visual Arts continues to focus on seriousness and quality:

Top-class jury: We were able to attract recognized experts from the art industry, some of whom even have doctorates. This ensures that the art prize represents a real reference for the winners.

Relevance for your career: Participation in and awarding the Berlin Award Of Visual Arts represents a valuable reference that can open doors in the art world. We would particularly like to give unknown and up-and-coming artists a chance to present their work to a broad specialist audience and to establish themselves sustainably.

Focus on promotion: Our main concern is to offer you a platform for your creative development. We are continuously working to create new opportunities to present your works and to bring you into contact with potential galleries and collectors.
